Try as hard as I can I haven’t been able to escape the inner drive to just make things. It’s been with me all my life. In fact my earliest memory is of “enhancing” my bedroom wallpaper. Dad wasn’t impressed.

Like a lot of artists I’ve never been that confident in my artistic talents and so didn’t consider art making as a career option. It was something that I squeezed in around living. Sometimes I would refer to it as a curse because it was so inconvenient, that constant nagging to create;

“If you bring forth what is within you, what you bring forth will save you. If you do not bring forth what is within you, what you do not bring forth will destroy you.”

It’s only been in the last decade or so that I have been willing to accept that I need to make stuff in order to feel right, and also to share my work.
